“Integrating Generations” is a partnership programme run by the PZU (Polish Insurance Company) Foundation and The Academy for the Development of Philanthropy in Poland, which has been in progress since April 2005.

With the development of new technologies and the quick pace of change, the generation gap has  grown considerably. Elderly people feel that their knowledge and skills are no longer useful in the modern world. There is a lot of superstition and dislike between the young and the elderly, and the advantages of inter-generational cooperation are not perceived.

Through the means of a grant competition we support interesting initiative based on the cooperation between the seniors and children or teenagers. In this way we want to prove that inter-generational contact in the modern world is meaningful, and that young and elderly people, having different experience and skills, can learn a lot from each other.
